Mountain Lake, located in the Southern Adirondack Park, offers a variety of activity such as fishing, water sports, swimming, and appropriate boating.
This spring fed lake was originally named Carpenter’s Lake in the 19th century. You’ll find one small island in the lake, Elmer’s Island, in the northern end of the lake.
The region offers many additional activities nearby such as museums, hiking, golf courses, and historical sites. Located within New York State’s Adirondack Park, Mountain Lake is just a 45 minute drive from Saratoga and 3.5 hour commute from New York City.
